Qubit PMS adds outsourcing features

As confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the UK, the pressure on our healthcare system continues to increase and gaps in hospital workforce and capacity are causing challenges to meeting the crisis. As NHS trusts look more to the private sector to provide additional capacity through outsourcing of clinical activity, Qubit has been supporting our clients by adding additional features to our patient management system to allow tracking and management of patients that are being referred to and treated by private healthcare organisations. Providing functionality to triage patients suitability for referral to outsourced services, tracking of referrals, transfer and treatment and all necessary financial tracking, QPMS offers an effective platform for managing the complexity of utilising private sector capacity. As all healthcare providers, both public and private sector, do their part in meeting the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Qubit is proud to be supporting our clients and their patients in any way we can.

Qubit Patient Management System adds DM01 module

Qubit are excited to announce the recent commission of a new feature to our Patient Management System; tracking and management of Diagnostics (DM01) referrals. Diagnostic and imaging referrals are often seen as a significant challenge for NHS Trusts to manage, with their own strict deadlines for completion, but also having effects on active RTT pathways. Recognising the lack of an effective DM01 management tool on the market, Qubit has partnered with a leading London trust to add a major new module to QPMS to allow easy and effective tracking, validation and reporting on these pathways, integrated alongside our existing RTT tools. By offering diagnostics staff the same comprehensive set of tools to manage their patient pathways effectively and intuitively we hope to see the same great benefits to validation efficiency, reduced risk of patient delays and reduced human error we’ve seen from our RTT platform. Our DM01 module will benefit from all the same great features our clients have come to expect, including auto-validation, visual pathway, powerful reporting and tracking of key data items not usually found on trust PAS systems e.g. clinical prioritisation and outsourcing management.

Qubit supporting NHS through COVID-19 Pandemic

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to put strain on our NHS, Qubit is committed to supporting our frontline colleagues during the current crisis however we can. We are working closely with one of London’s leading Trusts to rapidly develop and trial additional features and modules within our patient management system to support staff in tracking and managing COVID-19 patients and meeting the wider challenges of the pandemic. Currently the software is being trialled as a means to track infection status, test results/dates, cancellations of elective activity and outcome recording from telephone and video clinics. As the situation rapidly develops, we are releasing updates as quickly as possible to support our colleagues with the appropriate tools they need to adapt to new safer processes and workflows. We have also been supporting our clients to ensure they are able to securely and reliably access the QPMS platform from off-site, allowing staff to continue working effectively should they need to self isolate.
